Today, on January 14 this year. The Ministry of Climate and Environment submitted for public consultation the draft “Polish Hydrogen Strategy until 2030 with a perspective until 2040”.
According to the press release published by the Ministry, the draft “Polish Hydrogen Strategy” indicates 6 necessary goals to achieve:
Objective 1 – implementation of hydrogen technologies in the energy sector;
Objective 2 – the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel in transport;
Objective 3 – support for the decarbonisation of industry;
Objective 4 – production of hydrogen in new installations;
Objective 5 – efficient and safe distribution of hydrogen;
Objective 6 – creation of a stable regulatory environment.
The strategy provides for a total of 40 actions to achieve the set goals, aimed at using the Polish technological, scientific and research potential in the field of modern hydrogen technologies and the creation of the Polish branch of the hydrogen economy. The project determines the current state of the hydrogen market, presents the basic technological and business obstacles and sets out the directions in which the market should develop so that it can function on a scale allowing it to compete with conventional fuels in the next decade.
