In the “Supreme Chamber of Control work plan for 2021” there were 103 controls. While pandemic issues will be a priority for the Supreme Audit Office, ecology will also be important. The Supreme Chamber of Control will audit the subsidy system and the method of service in connection with the “Clean Air” program currently implemented by the government, the main goal of which is to fight smog.
Another control will concern the government’s “Program for the hard coal mining sector in Poland”, the main goal of which is to create conditions conducive to the construction of a profitable, effective and modern hard coal mining sector and to ensure Poland’s energy independence. The audit is to check the effectiveness and timeliness of the implementation of this program. In addition, The Supreme Chamber of Control will examine how the energy of thermal waters is used to generate heat, how biomass is used in energy production and how offshore wind energy is developing.
In addition to scheduled inspections, The Supreme Chamber of Control will also conduct a number of ad hoc inspections. These are the procedures that allow you to quickly check the problems noticed by the Chamber. These inspections are also undertaken as a result of consideration of complaints and motions received by the Supreme Chamber of Control from parliamentarians, citizens, institutions and social organizations.
