The Ministry of Climate and Environment is developing a system of hybrid renewable power plants

The Ministry of Climate and Environment is working on a system of hybrid renewable power plants. According to Ireneusz Zyska, deputy minister of this ministry and government plenipotentiary for renewable energy sources (RES), they will be able to regulate the operation of the power system in the future.

According to the minister, the development of such sources will require changes in the energy law. They would be introduced through an amendment, which could take place in December this year, and the announcement of government regulations on the RES auction in 2021. The Minister announced that the systems that are the subject of the work of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage are to be subject to almost one hundred percent regulation by 2030, and also allow for uninterrupted work in the power system for at least 5,250 hours a year.
