The President of the ERO has until Monday to announce the capacity fee rates, which are to appear from January. According to the act on the capacity market, the Regulator (i.e. the President of the ERO) sets this rate based on the indicated costs, i.e. the results of the main auction, additional auctions for capacity for 2021 and the costs of the Settlement Administrator (the entity servicing the settlements). The sum of the capacity contracts in force in 2021 is nearly PLN 5.4 billion.
As the ERO reminded, the act divides consumers into two groups. The first is households – the monthly rate of the power fee will depend on the annual electricity consumption and payable on the basis of the consumption point. The second one is other recipients – for them the amount of the fee will depend on the amount of electricity taken from the grid on working days at selected hours of the day set by the President of the ERO. In this case, it will be from 7 to 22 on business days, i.e. 15 hours.
