The list of legislative and program works of the Council of Ministers includes a draft regulation of the Council of Ministers on the maximum amount and value of electricity from renewable energy sources that may be auctioned in 2021.
The person responsible for developing the draft is the Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Sources Energii Ireneusz Zyska.
The planned date for the adoption of the draft by the Council of Ministers is the third quarter of 2020.
Detailed information on the parameters of the auction in 2021 has not yet been presented.
The essence of the solutions included in the draft.
This regulation is necessary to announce and conduct an auction for energy generated in RES installations in 2021, which will allow the continuation of the upward trend in the development of the use of renewable energy sources for the implementation of new EU obligations, i.e. resulting from Directive (EU) 2018/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on promoting the use of energy from renewable sources. It should also be noted that pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action, amending Regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No 663/2009 and (EC) No 715/2009, European Parliament and Council Directives 94/22 / EC, 98/70 / EC, 2009/31 / EC, 2009/73 / EC, 2010/31 / EU, 2012/27 / EU and 2013 / 30 / EU, Council Directives 2009/119 / EC and (EU) 2015/652 and repealing Regulation (EU) No 525/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, by 2022 the indicative trajectory for the share of energy from renewable sources in final energy consumption must achieve a benchmark of at least 18% of the cumulative increase in the share of renewable energy from the Member State’s binding national target for 2020 to its contribution to the 2030 target.
The above means that in order to achieve the appropriate levels of the share of energy from renewable sources in the final energy consumption in 2022, appropriate measures should be taken in advance.
