As Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz points out – The EU target of 15 percent of energy from renewable sources in gross final consumption at the end of 2020 will be difficult to achieve. Our estimated volume is 13 percent.

The government is aware of the risk of static transfers and therefore talks about postponing the target completion date. Recently, there has been a significant increase in generation from renewable sources, and the government is working on bills that will allow further acceleration of investments in this industry.

Jadwiga Emilewicz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development, emphasizes that talks with the European Commission are underway. – We hope that once the growth dynamics is shown, it will be possible to extend the deadline for the RES target.

The share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption in Poland was over 11.5 percent last year.
