According to the information provided by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management – so far 100,000 applications have been submitted under the program “My Electricity” (1st and 2nd recruitment). applications for co-financing of home photovoltaic (PV) installations, thanks to which the power of 560 MW will be generated.
“My Electricity” is one of the largest photovoltaic micro-installation financing programs in Europe for individuals who generate electricity for their own needs. The condition for using the program is a comprehensive agreement regulating issues related to the introduction of electricity from the generated micro-installations to the grid.
As Michał Kurtyka, Minister of Climate, points out – “Poles are increasingly willing to invest in photovoltaics. On the one hand, having PV installations means savings on electricity bills, and on the other, obvious benefits for the environment, which is why we want to increase such installations. Today we know that the launch of the “My Electricity” program was an excellent solution that significantly contributes to the increase in the number of home photovoltaics. ”
As Deputy Minister Ireneusz Zyska pointed out, the dynamics of the increase in new photovoltaic installations makes the solar energy sector the fastest growing sector of renewable energy sources in Poland. The installed capacity of photovoltaic sources in the National Power System is currently 2,108.9 MW, which means an increase by 175.14 percent. comparing year to year.
Deputy Minister Zyska also noted that this success was due to, inter alia, changes in the law and the launch of programs such as “My Current”. Under it, it is possible to co-finance up to 50% of the construction costs of an installation with an installed capacity of 2 to 10 kW, and the maximum amount may be PLN 5,000. zł.
