The President of the Energy Regulatory Office published a communication in which he informs that applications for issuing guarantees of origin for 2019 should be submitted to the operator by January 30, 2020 at the latest.
In accordance with art. 121 section 3 point 4) of the Act of 20 February 2015 – on renewable energy sources, the application for a guarantee of origin includes specification of the period, covering one or more consecutive calendar months of a given calendar year, in which electricity was generated from renewable energy sources in a renewable energy installation, with an indication of the start and end date of production of that energy.
At the same time, in accordance with art. 121 section 2, the application for the issue of a guarantee of origin shall be submitted to the electricity distribution system operator or the electricity transmission system operator in whose area of operation a renewable energy installation has been connected, within 30 days from the date of completing the production of a given amount of electricity covered by the application.
