On July 19, 2019, at the plenary session, the Sejm passed the act amending the act on renewable energy sources and some other acts (sejm print no. 3656).
Earlier during the session of the Sejm Energy and Treasury Committee, amendments to the project were adopted, including:
- Resignation from the change in the nature of the auction contract (deletion of changes in article 93 paragraph 12)
- Extension of the FiP system to 2.5 MW also for hydropower
- Supplementing the exclusion of restrictions on the period of validity of certificates authorizing to submit offers in the auction system
- Changes in the definition of agricultural biogas in the scope of enabling the use of industrial wastewater
The Sejm directed the bill to proceed in the Senate, whose next plennary session is planned for July 31 and August 1 and 2, 2019.
