Regulation on the level of the obligation to redeem certificates of origin in 2021

On the website of the Government Legislation Center today, i.e. on July 17 this year a draft regulation of the Minister of Climate was published on the change in the quantitative share of the sum of electricity resulting from redeemed certificates of origin confirming the production of electricity from renewable energy sources in 2021.

According to the draft, in 2021 the size of the share referred to in Art. 59:

1) in item 1 of the Act of February 20, 2015 on renewable energy sources, amounts to 19.5%;

2) in item 2 of the Act of February 20, 2015 on renewable energy sources, amounts to 0.5%.

According to the letter referring the draft regulation to consultation, comments may be sent within 10 days of its publication.

The above values mean maintaining the same share rates as in 2020.
