10 September 2019 The Council of Ministers adopted the Circular Economy Roadmap prepared by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology.

The GOZ concept is based on the assumption that all elements of the production chain, products, materials and raw materials remain in circulation for as long as possible. On the other hand, waste generation should be kept to a minimum.

The priorities of Poland within the framework of the GOZ include

  1. innovativeness, strengthening cooperation between industry and the science sector, and as a result implementation of innovative solutions in the economy.
  2. to create a European market for secondary raw materials in which their flow would be easier
  3. ensuring high quality secondary raw materials resulting from sustainable production and consumption
  4. development of the service sector.

Chapter I „Sustainable industrial production” is to draw attention to the important role of industry in the Polish economy and to new opportunities for its development.

Chapter II „Sustainable Consumption” shows how much potential exists at this stage of the life cycle, which has been frequently overlooked so far.

Chapter III „Bioeconomy” concerns the management of renewable raw materials (biological cycle of GOZ), which in the Polish reality have a large potential.

Chapter IV „New business models” indicates the possibilities of reorganising the functioning of various market participants based on the idea of GOZ. Chapter V deals with the implementation and monitoring of the LOD.

The GOZ Roadmap is one of the projects of the Strategy for Responsible Development
