EU Energy Ministers divided on the climate strategy

At the end of November 2018, the European Commission presented a plan assuming that by the middle of this century the EU would become neutral in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. The effect is to be moving away from coal in the power industry, as well as reducing gas imports.

On Monday, 4 March 2019, the EU ministers responsible for energy issues held a debate on the submission of the plan.
