EDP Renewables (EDPR), one of the world’s largest wind energy producers, through its US subsidiary EDP Renewables North America, has concluded two 15-year contracts for the purchase of energy from the 125 MW Timber Road IV wind farm in Paulding County, Ohio. The energy consumer will be Microsoft Corp.

The 125 MW Timber Road IV wind farm under construction by EDPR is expected to start operating this year and will generate enough electricity to power more than 36,000 medium-sized Ohio households annually.

At the end of 2018 EDPR had renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 11,302 GW compared to 10,677 GW at the end of 2017.
