On the night of July 18 to July 19 at the plenary sitting of the Sejm, the second reading of the government bill on amending the act on renewable energy sources and some other acts took place (sejm print no. 3656).
During the first reading of the project, which took place at the meeting of the Sejm Energy and Treasury Committee on 18 July, amendments were adopted, including:
- Resignation from the change in the nature of the auction contract (deletion of changes in article 93 paragraph 12)
- Extension of the FiP system to 2.5 MW also for hydropower
- Supplementing the exclusion of restrictions on the period of validity of certificates authorizing to submit offers in the auction system
- Changes in the definition of agricultural biogas in the scope of enabling the use of industrial wastewater
During the second reading, a technical amendment introducing a correct reference in art. 28 of the Amendment Act, recommended by the committee at its meeting on 19 July 2019 (Committee report). The vote on the draft under the 3rd reading will take place on July 19, 2019.
