EDP Renováveis, a friend of the Polish energy market, secured contracts for the construction of two wind farms in an auction held in Colombia.
The EDPR, in order to secure electricity supply, a reliability assessment was carried out at the auction, in accordance with Colombia’s regulations, under which the projects were assessed not only in terms of planned production, but also in terms of their impact on the stability of the country’s energy system.
The auction did not result in the granting of an energy buy-back guarantee. EDPR will now find a customer with whom it will sign long-term contracts for the sale of energy from two wind farms with a capacity of 212 MW and 280 MW to start operating in 2022.
