What will change in the regulations for the energy sector in 2018? What must energy and energy consumers be prepared for? Recently, many new draft legal acts have appeared. Some of them are still in the course of legislative work, others – already adopted – will come into force this year.
In 2018, a number of changes await the Polish energy industry. The capacity market, MIFID II, as well as the new tariff regulation on trading in electricity – these are major changes that will affect the energy market. Below we present the main assumptions of legal acts that have already entered into force, have been adopted by the Sejm or are in an advanced stage of the legislative process. We also draw attention to the announcements of acts and draft acts that are only at an early stage of the legislative process. We will devote separate articles to some of them in the near future.
