It takes into account many of the comments made, and its priority is to preserve the evolutionary nature of the transformation of the Polish energy sector so that it runs in a safe way for people and the economy &#8211; emphasizes Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tch\u00f3rzewski.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">The updated strategy assumes: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">50-60 percent share of coal in electricity generation in 2030; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">21-23 percent renewable energy in final gross energy consumption in 2033; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">implementation of nuclear energy in 2033, <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">reduction of CO2 emissions by 30 percent compared to 1990<\/span>,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">energy efficiency increased by 23 percent by 2030 (compared to forecasts of primary energy consumption from 2007). <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">The previous version of the document assumed: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">60 percent of the share of coal in electricity production in 2030; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">21 percent of RES in final gross energy consumption in 2033<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">implementation of nuclear energy in 2033, <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">reduction of CO2 emissions by 30 percent compared to 1990; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">increase of energy efficiency by 23 percent by 2030 (compared to forecasts of primary energy consumption from 2007).<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">The updated version of the document provides for an increase compared to the previous version of the forecasted installed capacity of onshore wind farms to 9761 MW in 2040 (instead of 800 MW) and a reduction in the share of offshore wind energy to 7985 MW (instead of 10 300 MW), as well as photovoltaics to 16 062<\/span> <span title=\"\">MW (instead of 20,200 MW).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">Moreover, the document indicates that the target of RES participation for 2030 may be in the range of 21-23% (instead of 21%).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\">In addition to the draft basic document PEP2040, the Ministry of Energy also presents three annexes, which are its integral parts: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\">Assessment of the implementation of the previous energy policy of the state<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\">Conclusions from prognostic analyzes for the energy sector<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\">Strategic environmental impact assessment PEP2040<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">Comments on documents can be submitted until November 29, 2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u0179r\u00f3d\u0142o: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.pl\/web\/energia\/zaktualizowany-projekt-polityki-energetycznej-polski-do-2040-r\">Komunikat Ministerstwa Energii<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Energy presented an updated and extended draft of the document &#8220;Poland&#8217;s energy policy until 2040 &#8211; strategy for the development of the fuel and energy sector&#8221; (PEP2040). &#8211; We present the draft Polish Energy Policy updated until 2040 after social consultations.
