The UK government has announced the imposition of an extraordinary tax known as the Electricity Generator Levy, which will cover, among others,<\/span><\/span> producers of energy from renewable sources.<\/span><\/span> The tax rate is to be nominally 45%.<\/span><\/span> \u2013 however, the British RES sector emphasizes that because the additional fee will be charged before deducting CIT, the real new tax will reach even 70 percent.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
