On June 21, 2021, on the website of the Government Legislation Center, a draft regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment on the change in the quantitative share of the sum of electricity resulting from cancelled certificates of origin confirming the production of electricity from renewable energy sources in 2022 was published.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The draft proposes to adopt the same share as in 2021, i.e. 19.5% for the so-called<\/span> “Green certificates” and 0.5% for the so-called<\/span> “Blue certificates”.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, according to the published justification<\/span><\/span>, in connection with the end of participation in the system of certificates of origin for another part of entities in 2021 (end of the 15-year support period) and due to the migration of existing installations to other support systems, the Ministry of Climate and Environment predicts a further decline<\/span> oversupply on the green certificates market.<\/span> Therefore, in the case of a similar regulation setting the amount of the obligation for the next calendar year or years, the possibility of introducing an appropriate adjustment taking into account the changes and gradual reduction of the level of the obligation should be taken into account.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Public consultations on the project end on July 1 this year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
