According to the ERO announcement, the first RES auction this year was held on 3 November, the only one dedicated to existing installations and dedicated to sources that use only agricultural biogas, including high-efficiency cogeneration with an installed electrical capacity of more than 1 MW.
In this basket, the amount of energy that can be sold was 2,500 GWh, and its value – PLN 1.6 billion. Seven bids were submitted in the auction. Five of them won the auction. Over 500 GWh of energy worth nearly PLN 324 million was contracted. This means that only 20 percent was used. all support offered. In the basket for agricultural biogas plants, the minimum price at which the energy was sold was PLN 628 / MWh, while the maximum price was PLN 655 / MWh.
