December 18 this year The Energy Regulatory Office has published the results of subsequent auctions for the sale of energy from renewable energy sources.

According to ERO, this year over 184 TWh of renewable electricity with a total value of over PLN 69.6 billion was allocated for sale at all auctions. As a result of the settlement of 11 out of 12 auctions, a total of over 79 TWh of electricity was sold with a total value of just over PLN 16.9 billion.

The vast majority of support granted as a result of the auctions decided so far – i.e. over PLN 16.6 billion – will go to new installations, i.e. installations in which electricity will be generated for the first time after the auction session closing date. PLN 16.2 billion was contracted in auction AZ / 6/2019, of which PLN 16.1 billion for large wind installations (with an installed electrical capacity above 1 MW), which corresponds to the creation of over 2.2 GW of new installed electrical capacity in technology wind. However, for large solar installations (with an installed electrical capacity above 1 MW), energy worth over PLN 129 million was contracted in this auction.

ERO communication

Under the auction AZ / 6/2019, the minimum price at which energy was sold was PLN 162.88 / MWh, the maximum price was PLN 233.29 / MWh. Sales of 77 837 229.723 MWh were contracted, with the assumed support level of 113 970 000.000 MWh (68% of the volume was used), worth PLN 16 228 229 935.62 with the assumed budget of PLN 32 577 000 000.00 (50% of the funds used).
