The Sejm will deal with the Senate’s amendments regarding the lifting of the obligation

On September 29, 2022, the Sejm passed the Government’s bill amending the Energy Law and the Renewable Energy Sources Act, providing for the abolition of the obligation to sell 100% of the electricity produced through an organized trading platform.

Then the Senate dealt with the act, adopting amendments to it (Senate resolution – amendments) providing for the reduction of the obligation to 50%. for designated manufacturers. In addition, an amendment was adopted, according to which the above-mentioned intervention is to cover the period from the date of entry into force of the act until December 31, 2023. After this date, an automatic return to the current regulation will take place – that is, up to 100%. obligo.

Now the Sejm is dealing with Senate amendments. Yesterday, on November 3, 2022, a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Climate and State Assets took place, which recommended that all Senate amendments be rejected. The act and amendments of the Senate will be voted today, at the plenary session of the Sejm, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
