The Polish Monitor published a resolution on updating the multi-annual program under the name “Polish nuclear energy program”. The Program implementation period has been set for the years 2020–2033 (with an outlook until 2040). Thus, the resolution of the Council of Ministers of 28 January 2014 with the same name loses power.

As we can read in the explanatory memorandum: “The construction and operation of a nuclear power plant will contribute to the diversification of electricity generation sources, and more broadly to the diversification of the fuel base of the Polish power industry and the sector energy in general (by introducing nuclear fuel). It is predicted that the share of NPP in the energy mix around 2045 will be about 20 percent, while the share in the base load of the system will be significantly higher ”.
