Recent changes to the act on renewable energy sources were to make investors from the RES market interested in participating in the auction system learn more in advance about the government’s plans for the organization of subsequent auctions – in the years 2022-2027.
The Gramwzielone.pl portal asked the Ministry of Climate and Environment about the amount of energy planned by the government for purchase in RES auctions in 2022 and 2023 for individual auction baskets, as well as about the planned dates of these auctions.
The climate ministry assured that the amount and value of energy planned in all auctions in 2022–2027 will be an element of public consultations.
According to the information obtained from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the draft regulation of the Council of Ministers on the maximum amounts and values of electricity from renewable energy sources that may be sold by auction in individual consecutive calendar years 2022-2027 is at the final stage of internal works .
The Ministry of Climate and Environment has already submitted an application for entry into the list of program and legislative works of the Council of Ministers, upon receipt of which it will be possible to submit the project for public consultation.
In turn, work on the second key legal act – the draft regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment on the reference price of energy from renewable sources – is now to focus on the analysis of data collected from the RES sector on operating costs.
The Ministry of Climate assumes that both draft regulations will be published at the turn of the second and third quarter of this year.
