In Germany, further auctions were held for investors planning to build wind and solar farms. Again, the prices offered in the wind energy auction turned out to be higher than the prices in the PV auction. According to the federal agency Bundesnetzagentur, a total of 89 projects for a total capacity of 768.95 MW were submitted in the latest auction for onshore wind energy. The shortage of bids again resulted in the successful submission of bids with prices close to the maximum obtainable price of EUR 62 / MWh.

In the parallel auction for investors planning to build ground-based photovoltaic farms with a capacity of 750 kW to 10 MW, 87 bids for 393.3 MW were submitted, which was almost 4 times higher than the level expected to be covered by the guarantees for energy sales. Ultimately, 30 offers for 103.14 MW were supported. The reported prices in the winning bids range from EUR 49.8 / MWh to EUR 53.6 / MWh, with the average price being EUR 52.3 / MWh.
